President Obama Golfing With Loop Capital’s Darrell Williams Can Teach Trump Golf Skills
ONN – President Obama Golfing With Loop Capital’s Darrell Williams Can Teach Trump Golf Skills
We all miss President Barack H. Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in The White House, but what this blogger misses, most of all, is the presentation of the real America, thanks to POTUS Obama. In other words, an American society that had improved to the point that African Americans who move money – and by that I mean bankers, investment bankers, and hedge fund managers – are a common part of the U.S.A. today. This photo, shared via an undisclosed source, is proof of that.
Taken a few weeks ago at an undisclosed location, all of the names of the men in the photo were not provided, but two of them are known to this blogger: President Obama and Loop Capital’s Darrell Williams. Mr. Williams is one of a number of African Americans in Chicago business who raised millions for Obama’s successful and historic run for President in 2008, and for Obama’s 2012 re-election.
Chicago-based Loop Capital Principal Investments, the firm where Darrell Williams is Managing Partner, is described as follows on Linkedin:
Loop Capital Principal Investments partners with high performance business operators to identify, create and enhance the value of middle-market companies in identified industry sectors. LCPI’s operator-centric efforts are led by a highly experienced investment team bringing deep financial acumen, strategic thought partnership, fiduciary sensitivity, industry knowledge and governance expertise to the value creation process. Through its affiliation with Loop Capital Markets, LCPI is able to marshal significant capital access, strategic support and financial advisory resources on behalf of its partner companies
President Donald Trump Should Call President Obama And Show The Real America
The point here is that images of the real America are constant, and survive psychotic attempts to pain a racially-tinged set of blinds to hide them. President Trump should stop trying to racially divide America, or give a narrative that blacks were poor until he came along. That’s both wrong and insulting.
What President Obama’s photo with other blacks in business presents is a band of equals. By contrast, Trump only presents images of blacks in need, not in business.
Unfortunately, Trump’s blind eye toward showing many blacks in business as his equal is matched by the under-funded position of black-owned media that churns out news content on a daily or weekly basis.
Still, we’re growing, and that this photo of President Obama and friends is out there, spread among so many platforms ran by Zennie62Media, is but one proof of that.
There’s Blavity, Essence, OprahMag.com, The Root, Shadow & Act, Shondaland, Black Sports Online, The Oakland Post / Post News Group, Black Enterprise, Ebony, The Source, Black Planet, World Star Hip Hop, L.A. Sentinel, New York Amsterdam News, and the legendary Jet Magazine, to name some of them. Still, as you can see, the known number is way too small. That has to change.
Media today is most valuable when it’s made from various corners of society, not just one. That way, we get a richer, more real view of what’s happening in America.
So how about it President Trump? Isn’t it about time you called President Obama for that round of golf? And how about it, black investors, isn’t it time to start investing to grow black-owned media?
Stay tuned.
Oakland News Now Note: this video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest version of an experimental Zennie62Media mobile media video-blogging system network. This is a major part of our new approach to the production of news media. The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and Zennie62-owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and also seek interested content and media technology partners.
