“Rampage” Coming To DVD; “George” Jason Liles Will Be At San Diego Comic Con 2018

Rampage, the special-effects movie that is a kind of cross between a giant monster movie and a Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson movie, is coming to DVD. As part of a promotional effort, the man who played the CGI ape called “George” is coming to San Diego Comic Con 2018. His name is Jason Liles.

Rampage, 6’9″ Jason Liles dedicated himself to a full six months of preparation to fully realize the role of ‘George’: studying gorillas’ physicality, their psyche, their modes of both vocal and non-vocal communication, and most importantly, training on ape “arm extensions” under the training of King Kong himself, Terry Notary (top in the field) perfecting the art of a character enhanced by motion capture. The bond was immediate the first day of shooting when Mr.Liles assumed the incredibly demanding role of ‘George,’ best friend to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s primatologist ‘Davis Okoye’ in the spring blockbuster film.

Warner Bros. is bringing a special replica of the silverback albino gorilla to San Diego Comic Con July 19 – 22 with a unique installation adjacent to the Omni Hotel. Jason Liles, who portrayed “Rampage’s” ‘George’ to unanimous critical lauds, will be at San Diego Comic Con 2018 all four days timed to the DVD/BluRay release of the box office hit.

Also, get this: Jason Liles is playing King Ghidorah in Godzilla: King of The Monsters. Godzilla: King of The Monsters is being made in Atlanta right now, and slated for release March 22, 2019.
