DO YOU NEED CARE?
It’s in these moments where we are most responsible to love, serve, and care for one another as the Body of Christ. If you are a congregant of Resurrection Oakland and either need prayer or have practical or financial needs, please let us know. We are here to help. We are following the guidelines of our public health experts & leaders during this COVID-19 Season. Please stay up-to-date on the latest news in the life of our church by signing up for our weekly email. Resurrection Oakland is still committed to caring for your physical, spiritual, relational, and emotional well-being in the days ahead. Below are the updates to how we are “doing church” in these coming days and weeks.Sunday Worship:
In-person worship services have been suspended for the coming weeks. However, please still join us for worship on our broadcast page every Sunday at 10 am.Community Groups:
Community Groups are our primary way to connect and “do church” outside of Sundays each week (e.g talk about life, serve, pray, and wrestle with the claims of Scripture). Our groups will be meeting virtually. If you are not part of a Community Group, please reach out and we will get you plugged in. [email protected]Congregational Prayer:
Join Pastor Brent every Tuesday & Thursday for congregational prayer from 12-12:30pm via Zoom video chat. (Find the link on our website & if you have any issues connecting, email [email protected].) On our website is also a Daily Devotional for prayer & Scripture readings.Ways to Give:
There are people who are in need within our own church and neighborhood. First, please consider giving to Resurrection Oakland as we help those in our congregation and in our city.Another way to serve is through Oakland At Risk Match, which spreads a message of hope and compassion by serving and loving our neighbors who are at risk of COVID-19.
Stay tuned.
Note from Zennie62Media and Oakland News Now: this video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. What we call “The Third Wave of Media”. The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and Zennie62-created and owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.
