Oakland – 2021 Oakland Technical High School Valedictorian, and soon-to-be Stanford Cardinal, Ahmed Muhammad, his science company, Kits Cubed, and California Life Sciences are hosting a science fair during Labor Day weekend in front of Oakland Tech. Kits Cubed is donating 1,000 Kits Cubed science kits to OUSD elementary school students and will have interactive booths/demonstrations from local science organizations. The kits will be free for elementary students while supplies last. The event will be free for students of all ages and their families.
“We’re holding this event because we want to continue making science special for our Oakland youth,” exclaimed Ahmed Muhammad. “We hope students will get to experience a fun, interactive day that will fill their minds with excitement and continue sparking their scientific imaginations. By partnering with many local, community-based organizations, we are looking forward to bringing our community together around science. And for all of the Kits Cubed science kits we are donating, our goal is to continue introducing our youth to science through fun, affordable, and accessible means — with brand-new experiments designed specifically for OUSD students!”
