Oakland News Now – The SF Giants have thousands of pounds of food that they just throw away after each event at AT&T Park in San Francisco.
The food that just goes unserved is of good quality and would feed many homeless or just hungry and poor people. It could be remade, I am sure. But the SF Giants should be made to set up a program working with the City and County of San Francisco.
How do I know they have all of the food? Look at the video. This was at Rugby World Cup 7s two weeks ago. The man pushing the cart of high quality meats that must have been 40 pounds each told me they just throw out the food.
How many establishments in San Francisco do this? How many thousands of pounds of food gets tossed? Each night?
This has to stop. It’s not right.
