California AG Rob Bonta Gets “Rowena Brown For Oakland City Council” On Grand Lake Theater Marquee
This was the silent turn in the Oakland City Council At Large Race. The famous Grand Lake Theater Marquee, commonly known for hosting the political views of its owner Allen Michaan, had these words: “Rowena Brown for City Council” on it. I have seen the Grand Lake Theater Marquee hold some of the most explosive commentary over the years (Anyone remember “Jail to the Chief”?) , but never the name of an active Oakland City Council Candidate.
Now, Rowena Brown gained the most first place votes and received the largest transfer of anyone when she received 49 percent of candidate Charlene Wang’s second choice votes. As a result, she’s way ahead of Former Oakland Police Chief LaRonne Armstrong 70,272 votes to 53,392 votes after rank choice voting.
But how did her name get on the great historic theater’s marquee?
Well, today, and after posting a vlog about the movie :”Luther: Never Too Much” at his request, I called Allen to say hello. And during our talk, I asked Allen how the name placement happened. Allen cheerfully said “I got a call from California Attorney General Rob Bonta, who’s a friend, and who asked if I would put Rowena’s name on the theater marquee. Since Bonta was an assemblyman and helped me by crafting legislation to save the Antique Industry in the East Bay, I was only too happy to put Rowena’s name on the Grand Lake Theater Marquee for all to see.”
Just goes to show that in the era of the text message, powerful politicians still get things done with a simple 20th Century phone call. It also shows how much Mr. Bonta wanted Rowena Brown to win.

Live Las Vegas NBA All-Net Arena Project Still Alive Called LVXP Development – Vital Vegas Is Wrong
The All-Net Arena Development Project, once considered to be the possible site of an expansion NBA team, then said to be terminated last year, has new life under a new name: LVXP Development.
The news of the new project came out November 12th, and attracted the naysayer Vital Vegas, who wrote:
Just when you thought the cavalcade of horseshit was finally over for the former Wet ‘n Wild water park site after All-Net Arena was euthanized, it continues with the release of renderings for yet another Strip resort project that’s never, ever going to happen: LXVP.
Yes, that was a lot, but we’re very busy and important, so we don’t have time to dilly and/or dally.
We were pretty much the lone Las Vegas media outlet to call out the All-Net sham for a decade, and we’re proud to do it again for LXVP.
Well, one thing I’ve learned about what Vital Vegas blogs: if he says it’s one way, look the other way. And in this case, what I found was that the new proposed resort is the focus of a joint-venture between All Net Land Development LLC and 2601 Las Vegas Blvd Venture, LLC DBA LVXP.
The new version of The All-Net Project was the focus of an October 10, 2024 letter from a company called Stillman Partners to the Clark County Planning Department. That letter reported plans for a resort hotel, multi-family dwelling, entertainment or recreational facilities (arena, theater, plaza area), and all associated and accessory use structures, and incidental buildings and structures.
According to the Stillman Partners letter, the project will include all proposed project components and area development of a project located on a site located within Clark County, Nevada, and bounded by:
a) Las Vegas Blvd, a public street, to the West.
b) Properties Fontaineblue and Turnberry Place, to the South.
c) Paradise Rd., a public street, to the East.
d) Property Sahara to the North
The North Las Vegas Strip resort project, which would feature an 18,000-seat NBA-ready arena, a casino, restaurants and other retail, would rise 752 feet if approved by FAA and Clark County.
This the All-Net Development project, but without the original man in charge Jackie Robinson. The Clark County letter reports:
Currently, the site is vacant. It was previously the site for Wet n Wild Water Park. It’s our understanding that part of the structures for Wet n wild are buried on site and will have to be excavated and removed.
The current Owner of the project is All Net Land Development LLC 9004 Greensboro Lane ,Las Vegas, NV. 89134 : Developer is 2601 Las Vegas Blvd Venture, LLC DBA LVXP

But Where Is Jackie Robinson?
On April 29th, Allen Snel of LVSportsBiz reported the following:
Several developers in a company called LVXP said Monday they want to build a 27-acre mixed-use development at the site of the former Jackie Robinson arena project on the Strip that will be anchored by an NBA-ready arena at 2601 S. Las Vegas Boulevard near the Sahara Avenue intersection.
James R. Frasure Jr., CEO of LVXP, will work on the team.
“Our commitment is to create a destination that captures the essence of Las Vegas and provides lasting benefits for the community. For me, this endeavor is more than a project – it’s a promise to uphold the spirit of innovation and enthusiasm that defines our local culture,” Frasure was quoted in a press release issued this morning.
James has over 20 years experience in acquisitions and business development operates on the highest level of national and international networks. This network ranges from 4-star generals, politicians, foreign delegates and international business leaders. James is currently focused on growing mining operation through the acquisition of mines in key areas, such as Africa and South America.
The group will also include Chief Construction Officer Nick Tomasino, who worked as Senior Vice President of Construction at Madison Square Garden Entertainment where he managed the construction of The Sphere. Architecture firm Steelman Partners will design the project.
The Difference Between Old and New All-Net: A Casino
The one main difference between the old proposal and the new All-Net is not mentioned by Mr. Snel: the inclusion of a casino. Jackie Robinson specifically did not want to have a casino element, presumably to make the facility more family-friendly. But not including a planned casino also hampered the process of attracting investors in casino-rich Las Vegas.
Now, fast-forward to this week, and an Internet search revealed that James Frasure was being sued by the owners of All Net Land Development LLC in All Net Land Development LLC vs. James Frasure of 2601 Las Vegas Blvd Venture. The question is why?

Several developers in a company called LVXP said Monday they want to build a 27-acre mixed-use development at the site of the former Jackie Robinson arena project on the Strip that will be anchored by an NBA-ready arena at 2601 S. Las Vegas Boulevard near the Sahara Avenue intersection.
James R. Frasure Jr., CEO of LVXP, will work on the team.
“Our commitment is to create a destination that captures the essence of Las Vegas and provides lasting benefits for the community. For me, this endeavor is more than a project – it’s a promise to uphold the spirit of innovation and enthusiasm that defines our local culture,” Frasure was quoted in a press release issued this morning.
James has over 20 years experience in acquisitions and business development operates on the highest level of national and international networks. This network ranges from 4-star generals, politicians, foreign delegates and international business leaders. James is currently focused on growing mining operation through the acquisition of mines in key areas, such as Africa and South America.
The group will also include Chief Construction Officer Nick Tomasino, who worked as Senior Vice President of Construction at Madison Square Garden Entertainment where he managed the construction of The Sphere. Architecture firm Steelman Partners will design the project.

Jackie Robinson specifically did not want to have a casino element, presumably to make the facility more family-friendly. But not including a planned casino also hampered the process of attracting investors in casino-rich Las Vegas.

If the job listing sounds too good to be true, it probably is. LinkedIn says it shut down over 86 million fake accounts last year, and the US Federal Trade Commission says that losses from fraudulent ads rose by 25% in 2023, to $491 million. Rick Gates, one of the most significant former Trump campaign advisers who flipped on President Donald Trump in the Mueller investigation, pleaded guilty to conspiracy against the United States for making false statements in the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections and was sentenced to 45 days in jail and three years probation by federal judge Amy Berman Jackson, on December 17, 2019.
But the judge veered from simply giving him his sentence to acknowledge the significant role he had played as a witness in the Mueller investigation.
Gates, a longtime deputy to 2016 Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort who shared searing details about Trump’s efforts in 2016 with special counsel Robert Mueller.
Judge Amy Berman Jackson said “Gates’ decision to be honest about what he did know and to decline to make assumptions or guess what he didn’t know,” Jackson said, “is an important public service.”
As part of his plea deal, Gates agreed to plead guilty to related charges of conspiracy and lying to investigators in February 2018. He also signed up to cooperate, giving Mueller’s team key insights into Manafort and Trump’s actions in 2016 during the height of the Russia investigations.

The next game against the San Diego Chargers, a terrible Browns Offensive Coordinator Ken Dorsey game plan left Winston with few options except to throw deep or mid-range. The result, as we have come to expect when Winston is forced into such systems, is an interception or wrong-way throws.
That was what happened against The Chargers. The sad result is some in the local media immediately dismissed Winston and didn’t even bother to analyze the Ken Dorsey game plan. That leads this vlogger to wonder if the beat writers actually know what they’re looking at when they watch a football game at any level.
But even with that, it doesn’t stop the same people from trying to say who starts and who doesn’t. So, this week, here we have two beat writers calling for Dorian Thompson Robinson to start over Winston, when DTR’s only start produced little offense and two interceptions. The fault, again, was the play calling in that case by head coach Kevin Stepnaski. But even though Winston performed better and had an excellent first game, these media types want to push Winston out.
What’s the deal? It’s Winston stating his powerful belief in the Lord. He always brings an interview back to that .
Of course the media types reflecting the Devil’s desire to shut Winston up will not admit to such a dastardly strategy, but they do know that would be the end result.
Here’s a direct plea that the Cleveland Browns don’t listen to them. Let Jameis Winston cook and talk about the Lord Jesus Christ.

The City of Oaktand is requesting the JPA to defease the outstanding
Arena bonds scheduted for final payment on February 1,
2026. Under the current schedule there are two payments
remaining, one on February 1,2025, and the finat payment on
February 1 ,2026. The payments are approximately $A mlttion on
each payment due date. The February 1,2025, due date wi[[ be paid
on the current schedute. The City is seeking to defease the finat
payment earlier than the February 1 ,2026, date. Under the City’s
proposaI Oaktand Acquisition Company (OAC) witt bear at[ costs
retated to the defeasance, including costs for bond counsel,
financiaI advisor, trustee, filing fees, other ancil[ary fees, p[us the
actua[ amount of the defeasance. There woutd be no costto the JPA
to undertake and comptete the transaction.
The JPA issued two separate bonds for the reconstruction of the
Stadium and the Arena. The Stadium bonds were issued in 1995
and the Arena bonds in 1996. The final payment on the Stadium
bonds of approximately $Z.l mitlion witt be made on February 1,
2025, the regutar scheduted payment. Atso on February 1 ,2025,Lhe
next to the Last payment of approximatety $g mittion witt be made on
the Arena bonds. Once that occurs, the only remaining debt witt be
on the Arena bonds of approximatety $g mlttion.
The purpose of the City’s desire to defease the finaI payment on the
Arena bonds is to accelerate the sate of its fifty percent (50%)
interest in the Coliseum Complex and a[ow the purchaser to
comptete its financing timetine and start the pre-devetopment
activity. Both the City and County have entered into agreements to
sett their respective fifty percent (50%) interest in the Coliseum
property. The County entered into a Disposition Agreement with
Cotiseum Way Partners (CWP) and the City entered into a Purchase
and Sate Agreement with the Oakland Acquisition Company (OAC)
an affitiate of African American Sports and Entertainment Group
(AASEG), and LOOP Capitat to purchase the City’s fifty percent (500/o) interest. Subsequentty, AASEG/OAC has entered into an agreement to purchase CWP’s fifty percent (500/o) interest. The City adopted a specific ptan in 2015 to guide the redevetopment of the property and surrounding areas. Now that the As have departed and the City and County are setting their respective interests, it is beneficial to East Oaktand and the region to commence the redevelopment of the site. The early defeasance of the Arena bonds is a key step. I recommend approvaI of the resotution.

Tara Sreekrishnan, The Candidate for California State Assembly in AD-26 – Who Is She?
Just who is Tara Sreekrishnan, you ask? The candidate informs us in speeches that she’s the daughter of immigrants who overcame poverty. The overall objective here, on top of our is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours – is the use of the existing YouTube social graph on any subject in the World. Now, news is reported with a smartphone and also by promoting current content on YouTube: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary, or having a camera crew to shoot what is already on YouTube. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution.
