The Rolling Stones Live In Oakland, October 31 1994 Video Of Concert Zennie Abraham Attended
This video happened to turn up in my regular scan of Oakland YouTube videos for Oakland News Now. This is special, and so much so that I think the coding for the network knew I wanted it, and so played a trick on me. No, not really. But I do think something in the way of using Airplay interrupted the signal. But I digress.
This concert was awesome. I had primo tickets just 10 yards from the field-level stage and took two of my friends, Cecilia and Beverly, with me. It was a lovely and warm fall night at the full to the rim Oakland Coliseum Stadium, punctuated by a full moon, beaming in all its glory.
The video itself was posted by The Glimmer Stone, a YouTube channel devoted to the The Greatest Band in the world! The Glimmer Stone wrote the following…

The tour grossed $320 million, becoming as the highest grossing of any artist at that time. This was subsequently overtaken by a few other tours, but it remains the Rolling Stones’ second highest grossing tour behind their 2005–2007 A Bigger Bang Tour.
