Tiger Woods Wins 2019 Masters, For First Win Since 2005

ONN – Tiger Woods Wins 2019 Masters, For First Win Since 2005.

Amazing. So much has transpired since the last time Tiger Woods won the Masters Golf Tournament:

• The U.S. Economy crashed in late 2008.
• Barack Obama was elected America’s first African-American President in late 2008.
• The U.S. Economy returned to prosperity in 2010.
• President Obama became the first African-American President to be re-elected POTUS in 2012.
• Donald Trump was elected the first non-politician POTUS in history in 2016.

And Tiger Wood won his last majors golf championship in 2008. The next year, just after Thanksgiving, it was reported via TMZ that Woods crashed into a tree near his home in Jupiter, Florida. It was revealed that Woods serial fooling around with women who became household names like Rachel Uchitel, led to marriage problems with his then-wife Elin Nordegren.

Tiger launched on a (to this blogger un-needed) apology tour, and attempt to change what the thought was wrong with him. In 2011, I sat down with Tommy Bonk, my friend and former LA Times sports writer and my go-to-expert on Tiger Woods, to talk about what was going on with Woods:

In the process, Tiger lost what made him a winner. That confident, emotional, will-to-win, that also may have fueled his unfortunate social practices. Whatever the case, the ‘thing’ that made him so good was literally ripped from him. Again, I talked with my friend, Tommy Bonk, about that in 2014.

Then, this year, we started to see signs that Tiger Woods was back. Moments of good golf lead up to today, and one of the most dramatic Masters Tournaments in history.

Stay tuned.
