Oakland News Now – United Airlines And American Airlines Dual Night Landing At SFO Airport
This happened at the end of the flight I was on from Atlanta last night, and that left at 8:37 PM EST. At about the point where the South Bay Area and San Jose are, our United Airlines Airbus A319 plane had a tandem partner, what appeared to be an American Airlines 737 on the left side and about ten plane widths from us.
It was a dramatic site: two plane landing at almost the same time. We touched wheels at 10:41 PM PST at SFO Airport, with the American Airlines plane just in front of us by about 30 seconds.
