ONN – Update On Oakland Unified School District School Closures For Thursday.
Greetings Oakland Unified Community,
This is communications director, John Sasaki.
I am calling to let you know that all OUSD schools–except for nine–will be open tomorrow.
The nine schools that will be closed because of the power outage tomorrow, October 10 are: Fruitvale; Grass Valley; Howard; Montclair; Sequoia; Elmhurst United; Rudsdale Continuation; Skyline; and Sojourner Truth.
Based on current information, we expect all schools to be open on Friday.
We will share more information as soon as we can.
The power outage may pose communication challenges. Official messages will be sent via robocall, our website (www.ousd.org), and social media (@OUSDnews).
