St Paul Cop Jacob Pederson Posed As Protestor And Smashed Windows During George Floyd Protest
ONN – St Paul Cop Jacob Pederson Posed As Protestor And Smashed Windows During George Floyd Protest
(Note, the original posts had Jacob Pederson as “Jacob Pederson”, but that has been corrected.)
Since the post of that Zennie62 on YouTube video-blog, a large number of updates have been posted. This video reports that Peterson was, indeed, identified as someone who worked for the St. Paul Police Department, but his exact title was not given:
UPDATE: St. Paul Police Department Posts Twitter Tweet Of Conflicting Jacob Pederson Information
This tweet was posted by the St. Paul Police Department, and contradicts an initial tweet that said a “Jacob Pederson” did not exist as an officer in their organization:
Our officer? He's been working hard, keeping people and property safe, and protecting the right to peacefully assemble. It’s sad that people would post and share this untrue information, adding more confusion to an already painful time in our community.

Note there is no photo or video to back the written claim. That’s not enough for this space. Given that this started with videos, the St. Paul Police Department should have made a video of the officer they now admit exists.
There was no other attempt to investigate the issue. And from a public relations perspective for the St. Paul Police Department, little can be gained by moving forward with one. Still, the person in the mask obviously did not want to be identified and pushed a person away who tried to unmask him. Very much like the Seattle Police Officer accused of macing a child during the protests there, and then not permitting anyone to take down his badge number. The Seattle Police write they’re investigating the problem.
There were also reports on CNN of protestors driving up from St. Paul, so that a person from that city was there has been confirmed many times.
That said, the St. Paul Police Department issued this tweet:
RUMOR CONTROL …
We are aware of the social media post that erroneously identifies one of our officers as the person caught on video breaking windows in Minneapolis.
We've seen it. We've looked into it. And it's false.

UPDATE as of June 10th, 2020:
And there’s a video that proponents claim shows Jacob Pederson at a training facility at the same time as the riot, but the St. Paul Police Department made no mention of it on its Twitter account.
The question is, who is the man in the mask, if it’s not Jacob Pederson. Moreover, why did St. Paul Police not present Pederson for press questioning?
Stay tuned for updates.
Note from Zennie62Media and Oakland News Now: this video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. What we call “The Third Wave of Media”. The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and Zennie62-created and owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.
