Will The Cleveland Browns throw a lot of cash at Urban Meyer?
Ohio State’s Urban Meyer’s announced his retirement from coaching, and the NFL’s Cleveland Browns are searching for a new head coach. So, the natural desire of some Cleveland Browns fans is to dress a photo of the outgoing Ohio State Head Coach in Browns gear and hope for the best, right?
Well, according to BetDSI the odds of Urban Meyer becoming an NFL Head Coach for any team are just slightly better than avoiding return to coaching: -300 for yes versus +240 for no. In other words, you’d have to bet $100 to win $300 for yes or bet $240 just to win $100 for no. So, bet $100 to win $300 on Urban Meyer.
Three years ago the Browns planned throw a lot of cash at Meyer and make him the highest paid coach in history, but that didn’t happen. Will Meyer take the cash this time remains to be seen.
Urban Meyer’s health problems and his “going out on top” plan would seem to rule out any desire to come to the NFL and fix the broken Cleveland Browns team. Moreover, one would think the Browns would actually pay attention to the NFL Rooney Rule and find qualified black head coaching candidates, rather than slot anyone black into the running backs coaching position slot, regardless of qualifications.
