Vote On Oakland Raiders Lease A Formality, Coliseum Is Home For 2019-2020 – Live Talk

ONN – The Raiders Lease is done. The Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Joint Powers Authority plans to meet this Friday morning to officially approve the deal via a board vote. A public board and a closed session vote.

The item, Item 6A, reads as follows: “NEW BUSINESS
6a. RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENT NO. 7 TO THE MASTER AGREEMENT AND EXHIBITS TO THE MASTER AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE OAKLAND RAIDERS AND THE OAKLAND ALAMEDA COUNTY COLISEUM AUTHORITY AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT FOR A PARKING REVENUE DISPUTE BETWEEN THE OAKLAND RAIDERS AND THE OAKLAND ALAMEDA COUNTY COLISEUM AUTHORITY”

The next item is “7a. Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.8: CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATORS
Property: 7000 Coliseum Way Oakland, CA 94621
Agency Negotiator: Scott McKibben, Executive Director Oakland Alameda County Coliseum Authority
Negotiating Parties: Mark Davis, Principal Owner and Managing Partner, Oakland Raiders
Under Negotiation: Price and terms of payment for license agreement extension”

That language is standard for closed session meetings where the Raiders are involved.

So, given the theater of last Wednesday, when a vote in public was expected and a closed session vote, and what happened was the Coliseum JPA Board only had what amounted to a briefing, this is entirely different. Expect an affirmative vote in public and in closed session.

The Raiders lawyers and the City of Oakland and County of Alameda Lawyers have been involved in this issue to this point. There would not be a vote had the matter not been resolved.

More on the livestream sports talk show. A short one for this evening.

Stay tuned.
