Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors (and who said he wants to retire a Warrior), has perhaps unwittingly entered politics via a photo he took with Nayeli Maxson.
Maxson, who’s running for the Oakland City Council District Four Seat since Annie Campbell Washington (once her employer) is now officially not running for re-election, posted the photo 20 hours ago to the point of the writing of this post. From what she wrote, Klay just happened to be at Kouzina Greek Street Food at 2064 Antioch Ct. in Montclair. Just exactly how Klay came to be in that photo is not known to the public, but from what Ms Maxson wrote, it reads like he just walked over to her!
As Ms. Maxson wrote on Instagram and Facebook:
These shirts are magical.. I put mine on and KLAY THOMPSON appeared! Klay was in the neighborhood supporting Kouzina, a local business right here in District 4 — Thank you, Klay!! Way to lead by example.

Is this an endorsement by Klay Thompson? Well, considering that Nayeli is wearing her “Nayeli Maxon for Oakland City Council District Four” t-shirt, it looks like one to this blogger! Plus, Nayeli posted it on Instagram and Facebook (but for some strange reason didn’t make it the focus of a press release or a blog post). Moreover, Mr. Thompson is known for being politically outspoken, so…
Stay tuned.
