ONN – Was Raiders Las Vegas Stadium Construction Effected By July 4th California Earthquake?
On July 4th 2019, Southern California was rocked by a 6.4 on the Richter Scale earthquake that was felt as far away as Las Vegas.
This video-blogger wondered if Las Vegas Stadium was impacted in any way by the low level shaking. A visit to the livestream helped point to a possible answer.
To cut to the chase, the northern crane located near the Lanai Door area and what will be the Al Davis Torch, that was supporting one of the canopy truss segments, was pushed to a full upright position after several days of the previous position.
That this happened on the day of the earthquake and after it, raises the question if the waves of movement were trigger for a review of the structure? Or was it due to some damage or malady?
Given the precision required to install the Las Vegas Stadium canopy truss segments, such questions are appropriate for the occasion. But, given the unusually tight release of information from both the Raiders and Las Vegas Stadium, something not heard of in a publicly-owned stadium, that information’s not going to come out tomorrow.
It should.
Stay tuned.
Oakland News Now Note: this video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest version of an experimental Zennie62Media mobile media video-blogging system network. This is a major part of our new approach to the production of news media. The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and Zennie62-owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and also seek interested content and media technology partners.
