ONN – Washington Nationals 2019 World Series Champions: Congratulations To Former Oakland CAO Robert Bobb

The Washington Nationals 6 -2 victory over the Houston Astros in Game 7 of the 2019 World Series marked the first baseball world’s championship for Washington D.C. But it would not have happened had it not been for the work of now-Former Washington D.C. City Adminstrator Robert. C. Bobb.

It was Robert. C. Bobb and his boss, then-Mayor Tony Williams, and a small group of determined public officials and business leaders, who withstood many roadblocks to a deal that ultimately brought the Montreal Expos to Washington D.C. to become the Washington Nationals.

And consider this: Robert. C. Bobb, now President and CEO of The Robert Bobb Group, was fired from his job as Oakland City Adminstrator because he was trying to build a downtown baseball stadium for the Oakland A’s. That’s right: then-Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown let go of Bobb solely for that reason.

It was obvious divine intervention that places “Mr. Bobb” as we call him, in the position of being able to do it again in Washington D.C., and with the backing of a supportive Mayor of D.C. Now, both get to bask in the warm glow of the Washington Nationals 2019 World Series win.

Where Is Robert Bobb, Today? Answer: Celebrating The Washington Nationals World Series Win!

This livestream is a tribute to Robert Bobb, and a reminder that Oakland must prove that it has the will and the initiative to build big public projects.

Oakland hasn’t done that since the 1998 renovation of what was later called Oracle Arena, and became the site of the multi-world-champion Golden State Warriors.

Stay tuned and congratulations to Robert Bobb and to the Washington Nationals, 2019 World Series Champions.

Note from Oakland News Now Technical: this video-blog post shows the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. This is a major part of Zennie62Media’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and Zennie62-owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.
