Oakland News Now – Website Of Transbay Joint Powers Authority, Which Runs Salesforce Transit Center, Is Down
The Transbay Joint Powers Authority (TJPA), the owner and operator of Salesforce Transit Center, has, for some unknown reason, been rendered without its main information dissemination system, it’s own website at TJPA.org, as of this Thursday morning.
Update: as of 1:13 PM EST, the website is still down, only now it’s white space.
Just how long this state of affairs has been the case is not known to this vlogger, but what is known is that this happened just over one week after two steel beams in the Transit Center were found to have cracks in them.
The TJPA website was the place for updates on the effort to repair the problem, as well as the online seat of many documents that can and have given a picture of how the situation that gave rise to the steel cracking issue may have developed.
How The Website Was Taken Offline
Normally, a 503 Error or “503 Service Temporarily Unavailable” message refers to a status where “an HTTP response status code indicating that a server is temporarily unable to handle the request. This may be due to the server being overloaded or down for maintenance.”
One would believe that the TJPA would hire a webmaster who knows enough to put a “website under maintenance” page message up. Since one is not there, this vlogger has to assume that the current 503 Error is due to some kind of website attack. That, however, it’s not confirmed.
Stay tuned.
