Why Glass Movie Has Split Critics And Fans
ONN – Glass is the third installment (final one?) in the M. Night Shamalan Eastrail 177 Trilogy. It’s also the most controversial of all of the movies, Unbreakable and Split. Critics hate it but fans love it.
The reason for this is the ending: it kills off people we have come to be invested in. Also you have to have seen the first two movies to even have a ghost of a chance of understanding Glass. My read is that many critics, some who were only 10 years old when Unbreakable was released, never saw the first two movies at all.
By contrast millions of fans have seen both Unbreakable and Split and eagerly awaited Glass. Those folks, of which I am a part, were rewarded with an incredible work of film. With a lot of questions.
For example was that really James McAvoy running on all fours or was that CGI? Was it me or did the cinematography deliberately match Unbreakable? What scenes were removed and why? How long would a directors cut be?
See Glass. You will not be disappointed.
