The Oakland East Bay Innovation Academy, a charter school in Downtown Oakland, formed its inaugural “Innovator Awards” and was kind enough to nominate and then officially present me with its “Media Innovator” awards. So the vlog is my way of saying thanks.
In 2004, I created Oakland’s first true blog “Oakland Focus,” then started Oakland’s first YouTube Partner Channel Zennie62 in 2006 – was made partner April of 2008 (just five months after Google purchased YouTube).
After that, I was first to cover the NFL Draft with a YouTube Channel, Zennie62, in 2006. Then, I was the first to cover the NFL Draft using a livestream platform, partnering with USTREAM in 2007.
As you can see…
Overall, I have made and operate 98 blogs, over 13,000 YouTube videos, and millions of items of content of all kinds (media and social media) since 2010, in particular, or since the creation of Zennie62Media. I now have four blogs on Oakland, alone.
And my latest blog is Oakland News Now.
With all that, it’s nice to be recognized – finally.
Stay tuned.
